Project Progress Timeline Created
Project Progress Timeline Created

For those interested in keeping up with the progress as statues of Helen Keller and Rosa Parks are designed and installed, the Commission has created this timeline to serve as a guide for the months to come. While this timeline is subject to change at the sole discretion of the Commission, the Commission plans to negotiate contracts with artists in the early months of 2022. Artists will spend the majority of 2022 designing and casting the works, during which time the Commission will engage in fundraising efforts for the statues. It currently anticipated that the sculptures will be unveiled on February 4, 2023, Rosa Parks’ 110th birthday.
